Everything Is New
We're deep into summer, and I am walking in a new life, as my family has moved from our cozy, creative community to a lake house a couple hours away. Friends are a major source of inspiration for me, yet I have had to get more comfortable with weeks that don't include even one face-to-face meeting. Many people say that learning to enjoy solitude is the first step to creativity; I believe it, as the new space and place has helped me think in new ways.
I wanted to let you know that I am teaching a week-long quilting class, Innovative Quilts from Traditional Patterns, at Snow Farm in Williamsburg, Massachusetts, from October 24-30. It will be a marvelous week of learning about new ways to use color, pattern and scale to produce stunning results from a traditional block. Don't miss this chance to experience autumn in New England while spending a week of creative exploration at Snow Farm.
Finally, be sure to stop by the Swap & Share. So many of you have signed up. It's time to post those old or extra tools, materials and whatnot that you've been keeping in your closet. Don't be shy!
